October Chapter Meeting
Today’s Long-Term Care Insurance Options
Honey Leveen
10:00 am – 11:30 am
Saturday, October 16, 2021
What are your odds of needing long-term care? How much will it cost and how can it be paid for? Many of us know that these are issues but have not considered long-term care insurance, with its high and increasing premiums and perhaps questionable claims coverage, to be an attractive option. Honey Leveen will review the data on the types of care you may need, the various methods for providing it and the range of costs. She will then update us on new types of long-term care insurance and explain why these may be more attractive than their predecessors.
Honey Leveen, LUTCF, LTCP, CLTC, has had a solo practice specializing in long-term care insurance (LTCi) since 1990. She is an independent practitioner, fluent in the full spectrum of long-term care solutions. She places her clients’ best interests first. She has placed almost 3,000 LTCi policies and remained accountable to her clients after the sale. She has had a few hundred of her clients collect from their policies and has seen firsthand how transformative LTCi ownership is for people and families. This is what makes her so passionate about the importance of long-term care planning, way ahead of need. She enjoys outreach and has spoken widely to professional, trade and lay groups. She has been quoted in national media, published in trade journals and has spoken at conferences.
