State of the World Markets and Investment Alternatives

For the last few years the struggle has been between earnings growth and valuations, and valuations have been winning, with stock prices rising faster than the rate of earnings growth. Now we have another dimension to consider which is interest rate impact of valuations. So, now we have a three-pronged tug of war between valuations, earnings growth and interest rates.

Christopher Zook is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of CAZ Investments. With nearly 30 years of experience in both traditional and alternative asset classes, he is a regular contributor to major media outlets, including CNBC, Fox Business and Bloomberg. As past President of the “C” Club of Houston and a current member of the Greater Houston Partnership’s Executive Committee, Christopher is actively involved in public policy and frequently serves as a resource to state and local officials. He was most recently tasked by the Lt. Governor to help find a solution to Houston’s pension crisis and spearheaded efforts that resulted in the most sweeping public pension reform of the last 40 years.
